Position Summary:

The Financial Systems team will be directly responsible for overseeing system maintenance, implementations, and IT Controls. Will work with a team of subject matter experts for all systems and applications utilized by Finance along with the Financial Systems Manager. This team will also be a business partner with all Finance functional areas to identify and implement system related process improvements to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. The team will provide user support by directly assisting individuals and acting as the key representative between Finance and IT.

Responsibilities:

Systems Management

  • Assist a team of subject matter experts for all major finance systems and applications (e.g., Oracle Fusion, Oracle Enterprise Performance Management ("EPM"), "Hyperion", PDI, etc.)
  • Design, communicate, review, and maintain system/application flowcharts, workflows, and policy
  • Responsible for assisting the maintenance and upgrades of major systems as well as other related applications such as Right Angle, Dynamics 365 ("D365"), HighJump, UKG, etc.
  • Manage automated processes and ensure interfaces between systems are complete and accurate

Implementations

  • Help evaluate and lead all system implementations across the Finance organization
  • Be aware of current developments and updates with respect to the various applications and systems used by Finance and anticipate and communicate how they may impact the department
  • Quarterly (or other periodic) release management for cloud based applications (e.g., Oracle Fusion)

IT General Controls ("ITGCs")

  • Develop and implement internal controls for accounting systems
  • Key liaison between Finance and IT as it relates to ITCGs (e.g., logical security, change management, segregation of duties, review of Service Organization Controls Reports ("SOC"), etc.)
  • Attend Change Advisory Board ("CAB") meetings as a representative of the Finance Team

Process Improvement

  • Act as a business partner for all Finance teams in implementing and enabling the system side of process improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with Finance Project Managers on process improvement initiatives
  • Identify and/or implement improvements utilizing Robotic Process Automation ("RPA") to streamline processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness related to accounting processes

Business Intelligence

  • Collaborate with various teams (e.g., FP&A, Marketing, etc.) to ensure the accuracy of Business Intelligence ("BI") reporting that is relied on by the business
  • Part of the approval process for the release of BI Reports as needed

Business Partner

  • Key liaison between Finance and IT
  • Proactively seek opportunities to be involved in departmental strategy to achieve overall business objectives
  • Provide support for external audits and surveys with regards to system information, data extraction, and analysis
  • Liaise with FP&A to ensure accurate reporting of financial information

User support

  • One of primary resources for all team members and departments on system related matters
  • Assist with questions and requests from other departments
  • Part of the IT ticket management workflow as it relates to requests from Finance team members (e.g., help prioritize tickets, identify what can be completed in house vs needing to collaborate with a third party specialist, monitor and help facilitate completion of tickets, etc.)

Other

  • Develop an effective and motivated team
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Working Relationships:This individual has direct contact with most departments within EG America including Finance, IT, Real Estate, Construction and Planning, Legal, Environmental, Facilities Support, Marketing, etc. as well as external auditors and consultants.

Requirements

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Accounting, or similar field

Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Accounting, or MBA

Minimum Experience:

  • 2-5 years of related professional experience at a mid to large company
  • Intermediate experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and related products

Preferred Experience:

  • 5-7 years accounting experience
  • 5+ years in systems management, user support, or process development supporting Finance organization
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and related products
  • Retail industry experience

Soft Skills:

  • Passion for detail and meeting deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills including effective time management in all key responsibilities of the job
  • Ability to manage multiple direct reports
  • Able to mentor and advise on significant career level decisions and show a deep understanding of emotional and social intelligence
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office
  • Well-developed motivational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Possesses analytical abilities, acts strategically, and plans and manages the execution of initiatives
  • Effective Communication (oral and written) in order to clearly communicate and present unusual and/or complex concepts or issues in a convincing manner across all levels of management
  • Readily identify needs and requirements and establishes plans and processes to ensure successful results
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships across the organization and with service providers
