A MEP Consulting Engineering firm located in Wall, NJ is seeking a Sr. Fire Protection Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience leading both technical design and project management efforts. The position is split between fire protection design and project management, with key responsibilities including mentoring team members, providing project oversight, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. While fire protection will be the primary focus, candidates should also possess a strong working knowledge of plumbing system design. This position is ideal for highly motivated individuals seeking a fast-paced and rewarding work environment. You will actively participate in the full project lifecycle, from pre-design through final closeout. Qualifications: 10+ years of design experience in commercial building fire protection systems; Working knowledge of plumbing system design (sanitary, storm, domestic water, and gas piping); Strong understanding of NFPA codes, International Building Codes, and applicable fire/life safety regulations; Experience performing field surveys and preparing as-built drawings; Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, with the ability to design and draft when needed.
