The Department of Computer Science at the University of New Mexico is seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional to serve as the department's Sr. Fiscal Services Tech. The Department of Computer Science is a research-active academic department and requires a Sr. Fiscal Services Tech to assist with a wide variety of accounting functions and administrative processes.
The individual in this position will initiate, process, and maintain records of a variety of complex fiscal, budgetary, and associated transactions, in direct support of the accountant and department administrator. This individual will investigate and resolve problems related to funds, budgets, expenditures, and procurement practices, and provide reports and analyses on complex fiscal issues, as assigned. It is critical that the individual be able to provide assistance in the development, implementation, and management of fiscal systems and procedures, applying basic concepts, methods, and techniques.
The successful candidate will be dependable and team-oriented, have excellent attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills, and collaborate effectively with a wide range of individuals in a very diverse work environment.
