    The Sr. Fitter is responsible for manufacturing, fitting, and assembling parts and components from detailed drawings or specifications.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Interpret and work from complex blueprints, isometric drawings, and ASME code specifications to fit and assemble pressure vessel components.
    • Lay out, align, and tack-weld parts using precise measuring tools such as squares, levels, and calipers.
    • Prepare and fit nozzles, flanges, and other vessel attachments with exact tolerances.
    • Collaborate closely with welders, inspectors, and engineers to ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII and customer requirements.
    • Conduct fit-up inspections and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and weld quality.
    • Operate fabrication equipment such as overhead cranes, grinders, and cutting torches safely and efficiently.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Proven experience as a fitter in a pressure vessel or heavy fabrication environment.
    • Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, Division 1 fabrication standards.
    • Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
    • Skilled in using precision measuring tools and layout equipment.
    • Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials.
    • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with welders, inspectors, and supervisors.
