Pay Range: Targeted salary $15.00/hr based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM, but will include working home football game days, position is essential/may be required to work during campus closures. Schedule may change during scaled service.

Position Introduction:

Bedrock at Sarkeys Energy Center is seeking a reliable and experienced Senior Food Service Worker / Assistant Supervisor to support operations in a fast-paced dining environment. This position operates under general supervision and is responsible for a wide range of food service duties, including food preparation, production, cash handling, and customer service, with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and sanitation. Serving as a key support role to supervisory staff, this position helps coordinate daily workflow, guides team members, and ensures operational standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, leadership capability, and a commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience.

Duties Include:

• Prepares food according to recipes.
• Ensures optimal quality of food from preparation to serving.
• Performs cash handling, including running a register.
• Orders food products based on food consumption and inventory records.
• Oversees and maintains inventory records for all items.
• Determines work priorities and assigns work to Food Service Workers and student employees.
• Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the functions of the position.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED or graduate of culinary school.
• 12 months of restaurant/customer service experience.

Required Certifications and Licenses:

• Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License

Department Preferences:

• Schedule will include working home football game days, position is essential/may be required to work during campus closures.
