Full Stack Java Developer Location: Smithfield, Rhode Island
We are looking for a Full Stack Java Developer to be part of our dynamic, globally distributed team of IT professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of our DC plan administration record keeping services platform.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred
Proven development experience
10+ years of hands-on programming experience in Java
Experience in JavaScript-based frameworks and client-side technologies
Background in web and mid-tier technologies
Understanding of the principles of SOA and how to implement such an architecture using Spring WS, REST patterns, OAuth, Swagger, and Apache Camel
Understanding of DevOps principles and how to implement them
Demonstrable experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
Demonstrable experience working on the full development lifecycle of a project
The Skills You Bring
Knowledge in designing and developing Java/Spring RESTful APIs
Coding experience with Java 1.8 and Spring/Spring Boot framework
Experience in service transformation, routing, enrichment, and orchestration
Experience in Server Side Java, J2EE, REST, SQL, JUnit, and Tomcat
Experience with open source frameworks — Spring MVC, Spring Core, XML, and integration with RESTful Web Services
Experience in client-side technologies such as HTML5, Angular Framework, JavaScript, CSS, and JSON including Responsive Web Design
Exposure to cloud technologies such as Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
Experience in Agile methodology and toolset such as CI/CD, GIT, Maven, and JIRA
Knowledge of containerization and cloud deployment
Knowledge of SOA, API design, and cloud technologies
Experience with API modeling languages and annotations (e.g., Swagger)
