Sr. Fullstack Platform Engineer

We're seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with a backend focus to join a small, high-impact team building and expanding an enterprise platform for content creation, publishing, integrations, plugins, and AI-enabled user experiences. The selected candidate will have significant end-to-end ownership, from solution design and development through deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

We're building a proprietary platform and need an engineer who can work both on it and with it someone who understands what it takes to develop and maintain a platform while simultaneously shipping production applications on top of one.

You will

• Build and own full-stack applications in a complex production environment, taking large features, modules, services, or pipelines from design to production
• Contribute to the internal platform powering those applications
• Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis when things go wrong diagnosing, resolving, and preventing production issues from recurring
• Work with incomplete requirements and limited supervision, with high visibility, autonomy, and accountability

You bring

• 5 10 years of progressive software development experience
• Strong backend engineering experience with full-stack capability
• Hands-on experience building and supporting production applications
• Ability to independently own large features, modules, services, or pipelines
• Strong understanding of system design, algorithms, data structures, performance, scalability, and reliability
• Solid grounding in relational database design, data integrity, indexing, and performance
• Comfort owning the full request lifecycle frontend to API to database to logs
• Comfort working in a small team with high visibility, autonomy, and accountability
• Ability to learn unfamiliar frameworks and technologies quickly

AI expectations

This is not an AI research or machine-learning specialist role. We're looking for:

• Foundational knowledge of generative AI and AI-assisted development, and how these fit into modern application stacks
• Experience using or evaluating AI coding tools
• The judgment to identify incorrect, insecure, or unsuitable AI-generated code
• The ability to quickly learn and apply new AI tools in practical engineering workflows

Technology environment

• Backend: Python
• Frontend: React
• Database: PostgreSQL or another relational database
• Cloud: AWS or a comparable cloud platform

You'll thrive here if

You've navigated the full lifecycle of a production system from architectural decisions to debugging a live issue end-to-end and you're equally comfortable in the weeds of a complex codebase as you are discussing tradeoffs at the design level. Experience building or contributing to internal platforms (not just consuming them) and shipping to external B2B or B2C customers is a plus.
