Sr. Geotechnical EngineerWe are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in Geotechnical Engineering to join our mission‑driven team. In this pivotal role you will act as a bridge between our products and the contractors who rely on them, understand customer needs, and deliver tailored solutions.LocationPart‑time role headquartered in Omaha, NE; remote candidates within the continental U.S. (ideally Central Time Zone). Occasional travel to Omaha, customer sites, trade events, or testing locations may be required.Hiring BonusOne‑time $5,000 hiring bonus awarded upon successful onboarding.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with customers to analyze project needs, problem‑solve and recommend tailored solutions.Consult with design engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure job requirements are met with precision.Promote the use of Supportworks products, providing guidance and support to our network.Develop technical documents, specifications, case studies, training materials, and more.Share expertise through webinars, presentations, and in‑person training.Assist contractors on commercial projects, including bidding, equipment needs, contracts, and more.Travel to trade shows and industry events to represent products.Collaborate with third‑party agencies to secure and maintain product evaluation reports.Work with vendors and testing labs on sampling, documentation, and validation.Manage renewals and ensure compliance with industry standards.Education & ExperienceBS in Engineering (Geotechnical or Civil preferred) and 10+ years of relevant experience.Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.Proficiency in design software.Familiarity with commercial and residential construction codes.Extensive knowledge of soil mechanics, deep foundation design, and construction.Strong communication skills.Collaborative mindset and project management skills.Willingness to travel occasionally across the U.S. and Canada.Contract‑Based Candidate ConsiderationWhile primarily a part‑time direct hire, we may consider contract‑based arrangements for highly qualified candidates.Ideal Contract Candidates May HaveExtensive independent consulting experience.Strong project autonomy and the ability to operate with minimal oversight.Client‑facing consulting or technical advisory roles.Ability to integrate quickly into active projects and provide immediate technical value.Availability for flexible, part‑time engagement structures.Preferred Additional Qualifications for Contract CandidatesOwnership of a consulting practice or LLC.Professional liability insurance.Prior experience supporting multiple concurrent engineering clients or projects.Equal Opportunity EmployerSupportworks is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).#J-18808-Ljbffr
