    Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we've designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Leo is looking for a Sr. Global Trade PM for trade systems and trade operations to drive compliance solutions and strategic projects in support of Leo's expanding global businesses. Key job responsibilities This role will be a team member with trade compliance subject matter expertise responsible for executing a broad range of import and export compliance system integration while building trust with key stakeholders. This role includes implementing trade reporting, analytics, and integration of trade processes into operating systems in order to streamline business processes. This role will need to build relationships and work directly with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Legal, Tax, and a variety of other internal global teams and external stakeholders to drive trade compliance through systems and operations across Leo businesses. A day in the life - Work with Amazon's internal technology teams to develop creative and best-in-class trade compliance systems that can scale with the business enabling trade operations. - Work with Leo's Trade compliance teams to build global import and export technology, and seek automation opportunities - Develop and manage processes in support of rapidly growing global supply chains - Interface with cross functional groups to identify and rectify any information/process gaps during the export/import process and build systems to scale trade operations - Perform project management support tasks and enable delivery of team assignments and objectives. - Leverage data for continuous improvement of trade compliance program at Leo - Build import/export system controls and drive trade compliance solutions that maximize import/export operations efficiency Basic Qualifications - Experience providing technical leadership on high-impact cross-fucntional technical project - Import/export operations and trade systems development experience - Ability to roll up sleeves and operate as an individual contributor to get the job done; at the same time, be able to guide a team toward an objective - Strong judgment, especially relevant in balancing long term strategic investments with near term business goals - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with developers, and business owners - Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and key partners for the program - Experience designing and executing communications programs to effectively mobilize teams with different perspective to complete shared goals - Experience with Agile practices, including adjusting requirements for new information to keep a project on track Preferred Qualifications - 5+ years of program management, project management or product management experience - Bachelor's degree in supply chain or business, etc, or equivalent experience - 3+ years of import-export compliance experience - Experience building or supporting applications for trade compliance functions - Experience managing multiple trade system integrations and trade data reporting (business intelligence) - Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment - Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the requirements, recommend alternative technical and business approaches to meet tight timelines with optimal solutions. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
