    Position Description:

    The Sr. Global Trade & Transportation Manager is responsible for executing and sustaining day-to-day international logistics, customs compliance, and origin transportation processes that enable compliant and efficient inventory flow from suppliers to U.S. ports of entry.

    This role oversees origin execution activities, freight forwarder performance, ocean transportation operations, customs compliance processes, shipment visibility, and supplier operational coordination. The position partners closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, ocean carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure shipment execution, regulatory compliance, and operational performance objectives are consistently achieved.

    The role also serves as a key lead for cross-functional initiatives related to global trade compliance, international transportation execution, shipment visibility, operational controls, and process improvement.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute and oversee daily international transportation and origin operations for inbound shipments, ensuring efficient and timely execution.
    • Monitor shipment performance across origin, consolidation, and ocean transportation milestones, resolving operational issues to maintain service levels.
    • Partner with suppliers, freight forwarders, consolidators, ocean carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless transportation execution.
    • Manage shipment exceptions and proactively resolve delays impacting inventory flow and customer service.
    • Monitor transportation KPIs, transit performance, milestone compliance, and operational reporting to drive continuous improvement.
    • Support supplier onboarding and operational readiness for international transportation and logistics programs.
    • Execute and maintain customs and trade compliance processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
    • Manage customs broker performance, entry reviews, documentation validation, audits, and resolution of customs-related issues.
    • Coordinate customs documentation and support compliance for DDP and supplier-managed import programs while identifying and mitigating regulatory risks.
    • Lead projects related to international transportation, customs compliance, trade operations, systems implementations, and process improvements.
    • Develop and maintain SOPs, governance processes, training materials, and root cause analyses to strengthen operational performance and compliance.
    • Maintain transportation visibility platforms, customs systems, operational dashboards, and KPI reporting while serving as a subject matter expert on global trade and origin operations.

    • Bachelor's degree
    • 5 years of related experience preferred
