Working Hours
Normal working hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with 1/2 hour lunch break. This position will also be required to work nights, weekends and holidays as well as before, during and after emergency situations (including inclement weather).

As a Sr. Grounds Technician, youll play a key role in preparing and maintaining athletic fields, parks, and landscaping projects that residents enjoy every day. Typical Tasks
Maintain city parks and athletic fields by:
Collecting trash and debris
Mowing, weed-eating, edging, and blowing
Trimming trees and shrubs
Training employees on equipment operation
Interacting professionally with management, staff, and the public
Maintain athletic fields and facilities by:
Marking fields and measuring for accuracy
Cleaning courts and replacing equipment
Managing turf and applying field chemicals
Picking up trash and performing general upkeep
Repairing facilities (bleachers, parking lots, marquees, irrigation systems)
Perform administrative duties including:
Logging crew work activities
Recording chemical applications
Maintaining inventory
Assisting with setup for special events
