Description

Our client, a IT Services and Consulting company, is looking for a Sr. Informatica IDMC Lead – Data Governance, Data Quality & AI for their Hartford, CT location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Governance Implementation: Hands-on experience implementing Data Governance frameworks, Business Glossaries, Domain Models, Data Dictionaries, Data Lineage, and Data Ownership/Stewardship structures using IDMC-CDGC.
  • End-to-End Delivery: Proven experience delivering IDMC CDGC/CDQ implementations from requirements gathering, configuration, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Business & Technical Collaboration: Ability to work closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and domain owners to translate business requirements into technical solutions and guide implementation teams using IDMC (CDGC, CDQ, CDP, Marketplace).
  • Data Marketplace Enablement: Experience configuring self-service data consumption workflows, Data Products, delivery targets, access request workflows, and governance controls within Cloud Data Marketplace.
  • Team Leadership & Coordination: Experience leading and mentoring development teams, assigning work, reviewing deliverables, resolving obstacles, and ensuring timely project execution.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage Data Stewards, Data Owners, Data Engineers, Architects, and Business Analysts to drive adoption of governance and data quality initiatives.
  • Agile Delivery: Hands-on experience working within Agile/Scrum frameworks, participating in sprint planning, backlog management, estimation, and iterative delivery of governance and data management capabilities.
 
Requirements:
  • 8+ years in Enterprise Data Management, Data Governance, or Data Quality.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on Informatica IDMC (CDGC/CDQ/Marketplace) implementation experience.
  • Experience leading enterprise data governance and cloud data management initiatives.

  • We are seeking an experienced Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) Lead to drive and deliver enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality, and Marketplace initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise in CDGC, CDQ, Cloud Data Marketplace, and Metadata Command Center (MCC), along with practical familiarity with CDI/CAI integration services.
  • This role requires a delivery-focused leader who can guide development teams, collaborate with business stakeholders, and leverage Informatica CLAIRE, CLAIRE GPT, and AI capabilities to enable governance, automated data quality, and self-service data consumption.
  • Informatica CDGC (Cloud Data Governance & Catalog): Strong expertise configuring and managing catalogs across cloud platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS S3, Azure, Power BI, etc.), metadata ingestion via Metadata Command Center (MCC), and implementing business, technical, and lineage views.
  • Informatica CDQ (Cloud Data Quality) & Profiling: Hands-on experience designing and implementing data profiling, quality rules, rule occurrences, scorecards, dictionaries, matching, deduplication, and remediation processes.
  • Cloud Data Marketplace: Experience creating and managing Data Products, Delivery Targets (S3, Snowflake, local shares, etc.), fulfillment workflows, and access request approvals.
  • Integration Services (CDI & CAI Familiarity): Working knowledge of Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Application Integration (CAI) to support orchestration, provisioning workflows, and integration with IDMC services.
  • Security & Access Control: Experience implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), managing user roles and permissions, and integrating with enterprise Identity Providers such as Azure AD and Okta.
  • Custom Metadata Management: Ability to configure custom metadata sources, upload offline lineage, and onboard custom asset types using MCC and metadata templates.
  • Administration & Maintenance: Familiarity with IDMC administration, environment configuration, user management, monitoring, service maintenance, and issue troubleshooting.
AI Awareness w.r.t IDMC:
  • CLAIRE Engine Knowledge: Understanding of Informatica CLAIRE® AI capabilities including metadata intelligence, automated dataset association, sensitive data classification (PII/PHI), schema matching, and relationship discovery.
  • CLAIRE GPT & Natural Language Governance: Familiarity with CLAIRE GPT capabilities for conversational data discovery, lineage exploration, metadata search, and data quality insights through natural language interfaces.
  • Generative AI & Agentic Governance: Understanding of CLAIRE Copilot and CLAIRE Agent capabilities to automate governance activities, assist with metadata enrichment, generate quality rules, and streamline governance workflows.
  • AI-Driven Data Quality & Observability: Knowledge of AI/ML-driven anomaly detection, data drift identification, intelligent rule recommendations, automated monitoring, and real-time quality insights.
Leadership Expectations:
  • Lead IDMC implementation teams and ensure successful project delivery across governance, quality, and marketplace initiatives.
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior developers and analysts.
  • Participate in solution design discussions and collaborate closely with Architects to implement target-state data governance and quality solutions.
  • Drive best practices, standards, and reusable assets across IDMC implementations.
  • Support client engagement activities, status reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, or Enterprise Data Management initiatives.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Informatica IDMC experience (CDGC, CDQ, Marketplace).
  • Experience leading small to medium-sized teams in enterprise data management implementations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience working with modern cloud ecosystems including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
