Job Summary:
  • This role is for a seasoned Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Boomi and Workato, specializing in payroll and human resources application integration.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex integration solutions that connect critical business systems, with a strong focus on payroll and HR data flows.
  • This position requires 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience in Boomi and 4+ years of experience with the Workato platform.
  • The ideal candidate will be adept at leveraging AI-driven automation, including Workato Genie and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, to architect and implement highly efficient and scalable modern integration patterns. A crucial element of this role is collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate sophisticated requirements into robust, high-performance integration solutions.

Requirements Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain payroll integration solutions using Boomi.
  • Design, develop, and maintain complex integration recipes on the Workato platform
  • Architect scalable, enterprise-grade integration solutions across multiple systems and applications
  • Build and optimize AI-powered automation workflows using Workato Genie
  • Develop and deploy MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to extend AI agent capabilities
  • Implement Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) solutions for automated data extraction and processing
  • Design and implement robust error handling and monitoring strategies for critical payroll data flows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Integrate various business applications, including Salesforce, Workday, and Oracle, using Boomi.
  • Develop and optimize SQL & PL SQL queries for database interactions.
  • Provide production support for integration solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage SFTP and HTTP integrations for data transfer and communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues in a timely manner.
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
  • Boomi Integration Experience: 8 years of hands-on experience with Boomi integration.
  • Payroll/HR Integration Expertise: Strong, demonstrated experience in integrating payroll, Time & Attendance, or Human Resources applications (e.g., Workday HCM, ADP, Navia, Fidelity, Dayforce, Oracle Fusion HCM).
  • Business Application Integration: At least 6 years of experience in integrating business applications using Boomi.
  • Workato Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Workato integration platform.
  • Recipe Development: Strong expertise in recipe development, including complex branching logic, error handling, and optimization.
  • Additional Integration Experience: Experience with Salesforce, Workday, API, and Oracle integrations is a plus.
  • SQL & PL SQL: At least 3-5 years of experience in SQL & PL SQL for any database.
  • Production Support: At least 4 years of experience in providing production support for integration solutions.
  • SFTP and HTTP Integrations: At least 1 to 2 years of experience using SFTP and HTTP integrations.
  • Java/Groovy/JavaScript: At least 4 years of experience in writing custom scripting using any of the Java/Groovy/JavaScript programming languages.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale integration projects

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with AI automation technologies like Workato Genie and MCP servers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with other integration tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of best practices in integration and data management.

Work Environment:
  • This position may require occasional on-call support for production issues. The role may involve working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
