Sr. INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST

Position Summary

Under moderate supervision, performs a range of diagnostic imaging procedures across Angiography, Interventional Radiology, and Diagnostic Radiology and serves as team lead. Partners with physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions while ensuring patients and families are clearly informed about procedures and special requirements.

What You'll Do

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in Angiography, IR, and Diagnostic Radiology settings
Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures
Communicate procedure details, preparation requirements, and expectations to patients and families
Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards

Interventional Radiology procedures:

Central venous access and vascular access line placements (PICC lines, ports, tunneled catheters, dialysis access interventions)
Image-guided drain placements (abscess drains, biliary drains, nephrostomy tubes, pleural and peritoneal drains)
Image-guided biopsies (liver, kidney, lung, lymph node, soft tissue)
and more
Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures:

Cerebral and spinal angiography
Endovascular aneurysm coiling and flow diversion procedures
Stroke thrombectomy cases (mechanical thrombectomy)
AVM and AVF embolization
Carotid and intracranial stenting procedures
Acute neurovascular emergency interventions

What You'll Bring

Associate's degree or equivalent (2 years of college); specialized field knowledge required
5 years of relevant imaging experience
Active ARRT Certification
Active Maryland State License
Current American Heart Association CPR Certification
Skills and Certifications [note: bold skills and certification are required]
Maryland License-Certified Medical Radiation Tech Advanced Level CT Certification
ARRT Registered
American Heart Association CPR Certification

Compensation
Base Salary - USD $84,697 to $127,046
