Leads a team of investigators by coordinating investigations involving discrimination, harassment, bullying, and employee misconduct.\n \n2. Coordinates with campus administrators on misconduct investigations at the campus level. Provides guidance to administrators on investigations, reviews and approves submitted campus investigations, and monitors compliance with federal and state regulations and with Board Policy.\n \n3. Works closely with the Assistant General Counsel of Public Information and other members of the Legal Services Department.\n \n4. Trains and assists investigators with standard and specialized investigative techniques and practices. Serves as a mentor to investigators. Provides daily leadership, feedback, and guidance to the investigative team on effective investigations.\n \nMAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED\n \n5. Exchanges information with various law enforcement agencies, Risk Management, Children's Protective Services (CPS), and the County's Children's Assessment Center while conducting investigations involving students and school district employees. Provides daily assistance to law enforcement agencies in locating child victims, witnesses, and perpetrators of criminal complaints.\n \n6. Reviews and analyzes all interviews, documents, and evidence by reading the interview statements, examining all documents, and determining the nature and relationship of the interviews as they pertain to the allegations.\n \n7. Leading and directing is restricted to monitoring work and providing guidance on escalated issues.
