About the Department

The Quantitative Risk Analytics team strengthens the firm's investment process by developing, validating, and applying quantitative models that measure portfolio risk across asset classes. The team partners with risk managers, portfolio managers, client service, and technology teams to deliver reliable insights supporting investment decisions, client communication, and firm-wide risk oversight. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated analytics and high-impact risk initiatives in a collaborative environment that values technical depth, judgment, and clear communication.

How You Will Add Value

  • You will support single-security analytics across asset classes, with an emphasis on fixed income, securitized products, and mortgage-backed securities.
  • You will develop and enhance quantitative models for single-security analytics, portfolio risk measurement, scenario analysis, and risk-factor attribution.
  • You will analyze risk exposures and sensitivities to help risk managers and portfolio managers evaluate investment decisions and risk trade-offs.
  • You will maintain and validate risk methodologies to improve model robustness, transparency, and consistency across portfolios.
  • You will improve risk tools, workflows, and reporting to increase accuracy, scalability, and efficiency.
  • You will partner with risk managers, portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, technology teams, and client-facing colleagues to translate analytics into practical portfolio insights.
  • You will contribute quantitative expertise to model enhancements, analytics validation, portfolio reviews, and risk infrastructure initiatives.
  • You will communicate complex risk findings clearly to senior stakeholders through written analysis, presentations, and data-driven recommendations.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative model development, model validation, risk analytics, or investment analytics.
  • Advanced degree in a Quantitative discipline; Master's degree or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of fixed income analytics, including mortgage-backed securities, securitized products, structured products, or related instruments.
  • Strong understanding of derivatives, prepayment behavior, interest-rate risk, credit risk, and other fixed income risk drivers.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative modeling techniques, including Monte Carlo simulation, time-series and statistical modeling, and scenario analysis.
  • Advanced Python programming skills; knowledge of VBA, SQL, or other data analysis and automation tools.
  • Experience with investment and risk analytics platforms such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, Yield Book, or comparable systems is preferred.
