We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as a critical bridge between business operations, manufacturing processes, and software development teams. This role is responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements to support the development of robust, scalable software solutions within a semiconductor photomask manufacturing environment. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with software engineers, product owners, operations, quality, and customer integration stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and production realities. This position requires deep domain understanding, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex manufacturing and business workflows into clear, actionable requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for software systems.
  • Translate complex manufacturing, MES, and customer integration workflows into clear user stories, process flows, use cases, and specifications.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users and software development teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Lead requirements workshops, design reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and QA to ensure requirements are clearly understood, testable, and traceable.
  • Support solution design by validating business rules, data models, integrations, and system behaviors.
  • Participate in testing activities by supporting test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of delivered functionality.
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities and recommend technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and traceability.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for requirements, process flows, data definitions, and system behaviors.
  • Ensure solutions conform to security, compliance, and data governance standards.
  • Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to standards and best practices for requirements management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Location

Brookfield CT Office. This is an on-site position and we are not open to remote candidates at this time.

Travel:

Less than 5% travel required. Domestic and international.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of business analysis practices, requirements engineering, and the software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Proven ability to decompose complex systems and workflows into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Experience working with manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, BPM, or quality systems.
  • Solid understanding of data concepts, including data modeling, data flows, and integration patterns.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, including software engineers and system architects.
  • Strong facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Proficiency with requirements and collaboration tools (e.g., GitLab, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Experience:

  • 6-8 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst role.
  • Experience supporting custom software development initiatives.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-tech industrial environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience translating business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
  • Experience supporting system integrations and data-driven applications.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred
