Lynch Consultants is seeking a Senior IT Auditor for an exciting opportunity to fill a key role within the Firm’s IT audit practice.  This is your chance to turbo-charge your career to ‘lead from the front’ within our rapidly growing federal audit practice – defined by unlimited upward mobility.  You will deliver outstanding IT audit services, form a close professional partnership with our Defense Agency client, and collaborate with the Firm Audit Partner to build out the practice with future clients.
 
You will leverage your expertise with Service Organization Controls (SOC) to support Information Technology (IT) audit engagements and Complementary User Entity Control (CUEC) assessments. This is a wide-ranging role that includes: service provider identification and risk assessment, evaluation of service provider controls to address risks, complete documentation and test control design, develop test plans and conduct test of control operating effectiveness, and develop and implement corrective actions.

The successful Auditor will recognize challenges, develop alternative solutions, and coordinate execution and implementation efforts.  You will master the details of complex issues, develop concise solutions, and distill complex issues into clear, cogent executive communications.

Work Location and Schedule: 

  • This work is 100% remote. Candidates must be local to the National Capital Region (District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia) for potential onsite work in Alexandria, VA.
Required Qualifications – Must Have each of the following:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Business-related field 
  • An active Secret Clearance 
  • 5 years of combined experience with SOC examinations and IT General Control (ITGC) testing for audits  in the federal space. 
  • Understand Service Organization Controls (SOC) and Complementary User Entity Control (CUEC) assessments and implementation. 
  • Expertise reviewing SOC 1/ SOC 2 reports to identify applicable CUECs, support mapping of SOC controls and assist in documenting reliance strategies.  Expertise to support testing of ITGCs, including the areas of User Access Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, System Interfaces, and Data Transfers. 
  • Expertise in developing test plans for Internal Controls Over Financial Systems (ICOFS) and  Complementary User Entity Controls (CUECs).  
  • Proven capability to perform Quality Assurance (QA) reviews of IT control documentation, test plans, and Key Supporting Documentation (KSD) packages
  • Experience conducting a review of Statements of Assurance (SOA) for accuracy and completeness as it relates to ICOFS, including providing advice and performing reviews, assessments, and a gap analysis to Federal Information Systems Control Audit Manual (FISCAM) requirements and NIST 800-53 standards and controls.
  • Understanding of OMB A-123 Statement of Assurance IT requirements, FISCAM, NIST 800-53, and Federal financial system controls. 

Preferred Qualifications:  
  • CISA (Certified Information System Auditor)
