Position Overview:
Our Client, a leader in the cybersecurity space, is seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage and optimize our IT infrastructure. This role involves advanced technical expertise in networking, virtualization, database administration, and high availability/disaster recovery solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with self-hosted environments and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills.
Salary Range: $120-$150k + benefits + bonus (flexible/based on experience)
Key Responsibilities:- Networking:
- Configure and manage Dell networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, access points).
- Design and implement VLANs, routing, and subnetting for efficient traffic management.
- Ensure network high availability using HA configurations (e.g., HSRP, VRRP, LACP).
- Utilize network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow).
- Virtualization (Hyper-V):
- Manage virtual machines, resource allocation, and optimize performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within a virtualized environment.
- SQL Server Administration:
- Administer and optimize SQL Server databases, including high availability configurations.
- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and implement backup strategies.
- Load Balancers:
- Configure and maintain hardware and software load balancers (e.g., F5, HAProxy).
- Implement advanced Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing techniques.
- Systems Administration:
- Manage Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
- Automate processes with PowerShell scripting and oversee system monitoring tools.
- Support Linux systems where required.
- Security:
- Enforce network security principles, patch management, and vulnerability assessments.
- Implement secure communication protocols and access controls (e.g., RBAC, MFA).
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery:
- Design and maintain HA/DR architectures for hardware and software systems.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures.
Qualifications:- 3-5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles in complex environments.
- Expertise in self-hosted and on-premises systems administration.
- Proficiency in Dell networking equipment, Hyper-V, SQL Server, and load balancing.
- Strong knowledge of HA/DR solutions and cybersecurity best practices.
- Certifications in relevant areas (Dell, Microsoft, Cisco, F5) are a plus.
- Familiarity with automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible) and cloud integration.
