Senior Systems Engineer (WebSphere to CloudPak migration, Tomcat/Node.js support, and CMS 9/12 audit and JSM support)

Job Summary

Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and scripting/programming to ensure stable, efficient operation of technology solutions. Focus areas: WebSphere to CloudPak migration, Tomcat/Node.js support, and CMS 9/12 audit and JSM support.

Essential Functions

• Monitor, install, configure, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain WebSphere/Liberty/Node.js/WebLogic solutions
• Provide technical support, troubleshoot problems, and perform scripting as needed
• CloudPak/OpenShift platform DevOps: Node.js administration, Jenkins, GitLab (plus)
• Support WebSphere migrations, including Liberty, Client, and NetScaler configurations
• Support Tomcat servers and other open-source web servers
• Prepare for and support SOC2/OIG/CMS audits, JSM submissions, vulnerability management, and patch application for audit remediation
• Perform coding in common languages as needed for system monitoring and related functionality
• Perform on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies

Requirements

• Extensive working knowledge of multiple technologies and their interfaces/integration
• Competent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system
• Extensive experience implementing and administering/managing technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations
• Strong critical thinking to evaluate alternatives and present solutions aligned with business objectives/strategy
• Ability to manage tasks independently and own responsibilities
• Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Experience with Agile methodology

Required Experience

5 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of transferable experience demonstrating proficiency in design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting technology

Required Education

Related Bachelor's degree in an IT field, or relevant work
