We are seeking a skilled Developer - Platform/Product with a strong focus on Java 11 to join our dynamic team in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will have experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions. You will play a key role in designing and implementing platform features that enhance our product offerings and improve user experience.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable applications using Java 11.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs in a timely manner.
Contribute to the architecture and design of the platform, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the development process.
Document development processes, code changes, and technical specifications.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong proficiency in Java 11, with a deep understanding of its features and capabilities.
Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Proficient in using version control systems, preferably Git.
Solid understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
Familiarity with database technologies, both SQL and NoSQL.
Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
5-7 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on Java.
Proven experience in developing and deploying applications in a production environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
