Job Description

Job : Sr Java Developer (with AWS)

Location : Plano, Taxes(Day 1 Onsite)

Job Type: Fulltime Only

Salary Range: $120000 to $140000/Annum

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented design
  • Experience designing and building cloud-native applications
  • Practical experience with AWS services and architecture
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as SQS, SNS, Kafka, or EventBridge
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
  • Experience with microservices or distributed service-oriented systems
  • Experience with Docker and container-based development
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD
  • Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to define detailed design and translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Familiarity with security best practices, IAM, encryption, and secrets management
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define detailed technical design

o Translate business and architecture requirements into clear, implementable low-level designs

o Produce design documentation, interface contracts, and technical estimates

  • Design and develop cloud-native applications

o Build scalable, resilient, and maintainable services using Java and AWS

o Apply modern architecture patterns for distributed systems and enterprise platforms

  • Develop event-driven and API-based solutions

o Design and implement asynchronous workflows using event-driven architecture

o Build secure, well-documented APIs and service integrations

  • Work with serverless and containerized workloads

o Develop solutions using AWS Lambda, containers, and orchestration platforms such as ECS or EKS

o Choose the right runtime model based on performance, scale, and cost considerations

  • Implement distributed system best practices

o Ensure reliability, fault tolerance, observability, and scalability

o Address concerns such as retries, idempotency, latency, and consistency

  • Collaborate across teams and roles

o Partner with architects, product managers, and technical team members to shape technical solutions

o Contribute to design reviews and key design decision-making

o Partner with Quality Assurance engineer to plan, develop, automate, and execute software testing

  • Follow engineering best practices

o Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.

o Leverage available AI based coding tools.

o Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and release processes

  • Support application performance and operations

o Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems

o Investigate defects, incidents, and performance issues in collaboration with support and operations teams

  • Ensure security and compliance

o Follow secure coding practices and cloud security standards

o Apply least-privilege access, secrets management, and data protection controls

  • Mentor and guide team members

o Share technical knowledge and support junior and mid-level engineers

o Help raise the overall engineering quality of the team

Ensure all developed software meets non-functional requirements such as security, scalability, maintainability, performance, and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
