Pay Range: $60-$65/Hour on W2/C2C (All inclusive)


We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Kafka Engineer with 10+ years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-grade distributed applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Confluent Kafka, Apache Flink, AWS, and modern microservices architecture. Experience with real-time event streaming, cloud-native application development, and performance engineering is essential.

This role involves building scalable event-driven applications, developing real-time data processing pipelines, and deploying cloud-native solutions on AWS while collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams.


Required Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Java application development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Confluent Kafka and Apache Flink.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications.
  • Build scalable microservices using Java 17+, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
  • Develop event-driven architectures using Kafka and Apache Flink.
  • Design highly scalable and resilient distributed systems.

Kafka & Streaming

  • Design Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, and messaging architecture.
  • Implement Confluent Kafka components including Kafka Connect and Schema Registry.
  • Develop Apache Flink streaming applications for real-time analytics, event enrichment, and data transformation.
  • Optimize Kafka producers and consumers for high throughput and low latency.

Cloud Development

  • Design and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Utilize AWS services including Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and IAM.
  • Develop secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.

Python Development

  • Develop automation utilities and operational scripts using Python.
  • Build data-processing workflows and batch-processing solutions.
  • Create monitoring and support tools.

Performance Engineering

  • Develop and execute performance tests using JMeter.
  • Analyze application bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
  • Improve scalability and reliability of distributed systems.

CI/CD & DevOps

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments and improve release processes.
