Job Description:

The Senior Lab System Support Engineer plays a key role in supporting laboratory operations by ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory systems, analytical instruments, and data workflows. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in laboratory system lifecycle management, vendor coordination, and pharmaceutical regulatory environments while supporting validated laboratory applications and infrastructure.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Lab System Lifecycle Management

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of laboratory systems, including implementation, validation, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Ensure compliance with SDLC, Computer System Validation (CSV), GxP, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patching, backups, archival, restoration, and audit readiness.
• Support onboarding and offboarding of laboratory systems.

Lab System Vendor Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for laboratory system vendors.
• Coordinate installations, maintenance, upgrades, and issue resolution.
• Ensure vendor compliance with SLAs and regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor documentation, deliverables, and escalation processes.

Pharmaceutical Laboratory Systems Support

• Understand laboratory workflows and align systems with business and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, GMP, GxP, FDA regulations, and data integrity standards.
• Collaborate with QA, IT, and laboratory teams to support audits and process improvements.

Technical Support

• Provide first-level hands-and-feet support for laboratory software systems and instrument integration platforms.
• Support laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, spectrophotometers, and standalone laboratory systems.
• Coordinate PC, network, and desktop-related activities with IT support teams.
• Perform software installations, upgrades, patching, backup, restoration, and system maintenance.
• Manage user administration activities including user creation, modification, and deletion.
• Maintain laboratory system documentation, SOPs, work instructions, audit trails, and validation records.
• Support ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ticketing systems.
• Participate in CAPA, Change Management, Deviation Management, and Problem Management activities.
• Support audit requests and ensure compliance with validation protocols.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience supporting laboratory systems or laboratory IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of GxP, GLP, GMP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical compliance.
• Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) and validated laboratory environments.
• Experience supporting laboratory instruments and analytical systems.
• Strong understanding of laboratory software systems and instrument integrations.
• Experience working with ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar ticketing systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
