FULL-TIME (DIRECT HIRE) | TAMPA BAY AREA, FL or DALLAS, TX


Join an exciting FinTech/Payments company as it builds a new technology platform and business offering from the ground up.

We're seeking Senior Full Stack Developers with 15-20 years of experience designing and delivering high-quality software products.


LOCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must be based in the Tampa Bay area (preferably St. Petersburg, FL) or the Dallas, TX metro area (Plano or Frisco preferred).
  • Please do not apply outside of these markets unless you are willing to relocate on your own.
  • This is a hybrid role requiring in-office onsite three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

  • Understand SOLID principles, Enterprise Integration Patterns, Design Patterns (Gang of Four), and Agile methodologies.

OVERALL DUTIES:

  • Part of team to lead the architecture and design of a modern technology platform.
  • Develop highly scalable, secure, cloud-native applications utilizing Java and the Spring ecosystem.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align technical strategy with business objectives.
  • Define software engineering standards, architectural patterns, and development best practices.
  • Mentor and coach software engineers while fostering a collaborative engineering culture.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance across development teams.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Approximately 15–20+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Extensive experience designing and building enterprise Java applications.
  • Deep expertise with:
  • Java
  • Spring Boot and Spring Framework
  • REST APIs
  • PostgreSQL
  • React
  • Maven
  • AWS Cloud Services (ECS/Fargate preferred)
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud architecture.
  • Experience designing highly available, scalable software platforms.


PREFERRED:

  • Payment processing or financial services technology
  • PCI DSS v4 compliance
  • SOC 2 Type II controls
  • Secure software development
  • Event-driven architecture
