Broadridge is Growing. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java and AWS technologies based out of our New York or New Jersey offices, supporting our current and Next Generation print platforms for our internal and external BRCC Customer Communication clients.

Work Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be coming into the office 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, secure applications using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and modern engineering practices.
  • Design, develop, deploy, and support microservices-based applications using Java and Spring Boot, with hands-on experience containerizing services using Docker and deploying them across AWS and on-premise environments.
  • Work closely with the product/business organization on strategic planning to define product roadmaps and align with technical roadmaps.
  • Drive modernization of legacy applications toward microservices, APIs, containerization, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to innovate, using AI tools and other methods to deliver software solutions quickly and with quality
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers to promote best practices and continuous learning.
  • Mentor engineers and promote best practices in software design, code quality, security, and Agile delivery.
  • Improve CI/CD, testing automation, observability, and operational reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and practical use cases for engineering acceleration.
  • Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST APIs.
  • Experience with AWS and containerized deployments using Docker.
  • Experience with EKS, ECS, Fargate, CI/CD, and DevOps practices..
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, relational databases, and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Salary Range: 140,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD annual
