What Will You Be Doing?

Based in Denver, Colorado, the Senior Legal Counsel will report to Frontier’s Sr. Director, Legal Counsel and work with the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel to support a primarily transactional legal practice across various areas of the business. The role will provide practical, business-oriented legal advice and guidance, draft, negotiate, and review complex agreements, and help manage legal risk while enabling Frontier’s commercial and operational objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Review, revise, draft, negotiate and advise on a broad range of contracts across the business, including, by way of example, services, marketing, e-commerce, promotions, IT (technology transactions, digital platforms, SaaS technology), equipment and materials purchases and leasing, supply chain, ground handling, and airport operations and leases.
  • Provide legal support for marketing and consumer-facing initiatives, including reviewing and advising on promotional materials and campaigns across all customer channels, and advising on compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and broader consumer protection considerations.
  • Support and advise on artificial intelligence initiatives, including evaluating legal and regulatory risks, advising on governance, and assisting with the development and deployment of AI-related tools and solutions.
  • Advise management and personnel on compliance matters concerning data privacy and governance, and cybersecurity.
  • Oversee and manage select litigation matters, including coordinating with outside counsel, developing strategy, assessing risk, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Support the business on international legal matters, including advising on regulatory considerations, and coordination with local counsel, as needed.
  • Work cooperatively and closely with all levels of management and operational personnel to provide efficient and practical business solutions.
  • Work with Legal Department personnel to maintain corporate best practices.
  • Identify and analyze risks and deliver practical and efficient solutions to business and regulatory issues faced by the company, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
  • As needed, develop, maintain and update standard contract templates, terms of service, company policies and other forms, to drive efficiencies and compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

  • JD with strong academic credentials required.
  • Member in good standing of a State Bar in any U.S. jurisdiction, and eligible to obtain Colorado single-client (in-house counsel) licensure.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated corporate experience at a law firm or in-house legal department required.
  • Experience in structuring and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • Experience in the broader transportation industry is a plus, with airline experience preferred but not required.
  • Depending on the candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, this position may be hired at the Director level.

  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude and demeanor, and proactively take initiative.
  • Demonstrate the flexibility required to efficiently manage demanding workloads and respond on short notice.
  • Strong interpersonal communications and ability to collaborate appropriately with all levels of corporate personnel, to position the Legal Department as an ally of internal clients while also protecting the company from risk.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent writing, research and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a history of effectively managing and prioritizing concurrent projects/tasks and consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Possess a high level of confidentiality in performance of duties
  • Task-oriented with the ability to anticipate and identify issues while developing and implementing solutions

Salary Range: $130K-$163,873 base salary, plus bonus - Please note: this role will close on or before 9/30/26.
