The Role


The main purpose of this job is to establish best practices for bulk load planning and fleet management and facilitate the execution of these processes through a matrix organization where the load planners report directly to the plant managers with a dotted line to this role. -


+ Responsible for establishing, enacting and working with operations to meet or exceed all metrics associated with customer satisfaction, cost reduction and carrier performance. -

+ Work directly with our delivery partners in their performance against agreed upon metrics and manages the truck resourcing across our shipping points. -

+ Work to minimize the cost related to inbound raw material deliveries and manage a freight analyst to mine and analyze freight related data from multiple system to drive effective freight invoice review. -

+ Provide the leadership for the selection and implementation of a new TMS system by leading the creation of the business requirements documents, new system configuration, data migration, testing and deployment.

+ High Complexity -- dealing with multiples parties (load planners, sales, customers, carriers) across a 65-78 truck network across multiple sites and 3rd party carrier management to address urgent issues with short lead times at potentially high cost. - -

+ Leading bulk and TMS non bulk load planners on process execution/system use.

+ Defining KPI calculations to measure bulk delivery service and fleet efficiency, provide centralized reporting of these KPIS and working with the load planners/plant managers to identify corrective actions/process improvements to be executed. -

+ Reporting of daily backlog and working with the plants and delivery partners to resolve the backlog and prevent customer run outs. - -

+ Working with third party non-bulk carrier manager (Odyssey) and other common carrier partners to insure timely delivery, determine corrective actions, damage claims, & identify responsibilities for addressing the corrective actions and the associated cost tracking. -

+ Working with delivery partners (KAG+WTL) on a weekly basis to establish delivery resource plan (drivers and equipment) and preventive maintenance plan for equipment for the following week. -

+ As the escalation point - work with load planners and delivery partners to troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues when unexpected situations or performance issues arise (drivers calling out sick or not completing runs, equipment breaking down etc).

+ Working with delivery partners (KAG+WTL) and the Commercial team (sales/FSTs) to determine corrective actions, identify responsibilities for addressing the corrective actions and the associated cost tracking with cross-contaminations, spills etc. -

+ -Highly essential to the success of the Plants through defining and executing strategy to final-mile deliveries to customers on each lane. - -

+ Manage Invoices to insure accurate pay and on time payment based on term and freight analyst to pull appropriate data from multiple sources to analyze fleet performance, freight expenses and support a freight invoice review process.

+ Own and maintain the internal TMS system

+ Maintain carrier qualification date such as insurance information, operating authority, etc.


Requirements


+ Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics

+ 10+ years experience in chemicals or like industry with bulk delivery exposure.

+ Managing deliveries on multi stop runs

+ Freight expense analysis and management -

+ Advanced SAP and TMS system use and implementation experience

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 - $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.


In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 13% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $115,260 to $178,540. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
