Job Summary:

The Senior Logistics Support Specialist serves as the subject matter expert for warehouse and logistics operations, supporting the efficient flow of materials from receiving through shipping. This position coordinates warehouse activities, shipping and receiving operations, inventory transactions, and domestic and international logistics while promoting safe, organized, and efficient operations. Working collaboratively with Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Quality, this role drives operational excellence by improving processes, maintaining inventory accuracy, resolving logistics challenges, and ensuring customers receive products on time and in accordance with company standards. The Senior Logistics Support Specialist also serves as a resource for department personnel by providing technical guidance, sharing best practices, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and support daily logistics operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, material handling, picking, packing, shipping, and internal material movement.

· Serve as the department's subject matter expert for logistics processes, providing technical guidance and support to team members.

· Support domestic and international shipments to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective customer deliveries.

· Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, export documentation, and other required shipping records.

· Ensure accurate ERP transactions related to receiving, inventory movements, shipping, and warehouse activities.

· Promote logistics organization in compliance with established 5S, safety, and operational standards.

· Collaborate with Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Quality to ensure efficient material flow and on-time order fulfillment.

· Analyze logistics performance metrics and recommend process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

· Support the onboarding and training of logistics personnel by sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and standardized processes.

· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving workflow, increasing inventory accuracy, and strengthening operational performance.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, OSHA standards, and applicable transportation, import, and export regulations.

· Serve as a backup resource for departmental leadership during periods of absence or increased operational demand.

· Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred.

· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in warehouse, shipping, logistics, or supply chain operations.

· Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments, including preparation of import/export documentation.

· Experience using ERP systems to process inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse transactions.

· Experience supporting inventory control activities, including cycle counting and physical inventory.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

· Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, documentation, and carrier requirements.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.

· Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions.

· Ability to train and mentor team members on established processes and best practices.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in inventory and shipping documentation.

· Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as a member of a team.

 

Physical Demands:

· Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist with event setup and teardown.

· Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
