Description:
Seeking an experienced Sr Developer with strong expertise in Mainframe application development and production support. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and Application Support within the Banking domain. This role involves application development, production support, issue resolution, and collaboration with development teams to maintain critical enterprise applications.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and support core Mainframe applications.
- Perform application development using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM.
- Provide production support and application maintenance.
- Investigate complex business issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Work with Job Scheduling, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
- Process VSAM datasets and dataset allocation.
- Perform Job Control Language (JCL) program execution.
- Work with documentation and document repositories.
- Collaborate with development and production support teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders.

- Qualifications:
- 8 10+ years of Mainframe development experience.
- Strong experience in Mainframe Systems and Application Support.
- Experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, DB2.
- Knowledge of Easytrieve, CA-7, PANVALET, XPEDITOR, PANAPT, FILEAID.
- Experience with VSAM, GDG, Fixed Block, and Variable Block file structures.
- Experience with ISPF/PDF, TSO, FTP, and JCL execution.
- Exposure to COBOL DB2 programming and CICS application development.
- Banking domain experience is mandatory.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
