Requisition ID: 35625Onsite or Remote: Onsite PositionJoin Komatsu and Be Part of Something Big!Job OverviewThe Senior Maintenance Manager leads and optimizes all maintenance and reliability activities at the South Harbor Manufacturing Operations site to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective production. This role is responsible for maximizing equipment uptime, improving asset reliability, and advancing operational excellence through proactive maintenance strategies, strong workforce leadership, and continuous improvement. The position plays a critical role in supporting production throughput, safety performance, and long-term asset health across the facility.Key Job ResponsibilitiesLead, develop, and direct the maintenance organization to ensure safe execution of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activitiesEstablish and execute maintenance and reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime, reduce unplanned downtime, and extend asset lifePartner with Operations, Engineering, and EHS teams to support production goals, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiativesDevelop and manage maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, spare parts, and contracted services, to meet cost and performance targetsImplement standardized maintenance processes, work management systems, and reliability best practices to improve efficiency and effectivenessEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety cultureCoach, mentor, and evaluate maintenance leaders and skilled trades to build technical capability, engagement, and succession readinessPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 40 lbs as neededWork environment consistent with a typical office and manufacturing settingAbility to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing) for extended periods throughout the workdayFrequent movement throughout the facility to attend meetings, access work areas, and interact with employeesQualifications/RequirementsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Maintenance Management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)8–10 years of progressive maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentExperience leading supervisors and skilled trades teamsPreferred:Experience with reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and preventive/predictive maintenance programsStrong knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance performance metricsProven ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiativesFinancial acumen with experience managing maintenance budgets and cost controlsStrong leadership, communication, and change management skillsRelevant certifications (e.g., CMRP) are a plusCompany BenefitsKomatsu provides an extensive and robust employee benefits package that is designed to enhance the well-being of our employees and family members.
