Sr. Manager, Brand Design (Hybrid, NYC Office)

The Senior Manager, Brand Design is responsible for leading the design development of Belk''s seasonal, monthly, and promotional marketing campaigns across print, store and digital channels. This role partners closely with Marketing, Ecommerce, and Merchandising teams to deliver compelling, customer-centric creative that supports brand objectives, drives engagement, and enhances the overall customer experience.

This leader balances strategic thinking, creative excellence, and operational execution while overseeing a team of graphic designers. The Senior Manager, Brand Design ensures consistent brand expression across all customer touchpoints, maintains high design standards, and continuously identifies opportunities to evolve creative approaches that support Belk''s growth and customer initiatives.

Essential Function

• Leads the design development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, ecommerce, email, social media, and other customer-facing channels
• Collaborates with Marketing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Stores, and Creative Services teams to develop innovative campaign concepts that support seasonal strategies and business objectives
• Translate business goals and marketing strategies into compelling visual storytelling and customer-focused design solutions.
• Ensure integration of design requirements into all phases of production, including QA by providing consistent. feedback to team members and business partners.
• Oversee the creation of campaign assets, including layouts, digital content, photography, and motion graphics.
• Develop and maintain campaign style guides, templates, and design standards that ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints
• Monitor emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and creative excellence.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of designers to grow Belk creative talent.
• Requires designated hybrid in-office work schedule
• Travel required monthly

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree

Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing Design, Fine Arts, or related field

• Excellent knowledge of design, typography, and branding fundamentals
• Knowledge of print production processes and digital media requirements
• Ability to work at a fast pace, under deadline pressure, and with a high rate of accuracy
• Experience working cross functionally and synthesizing feedback
• Problem solver, proactive and detail oriented
• Strong people and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
• Computer skills in Adobe PhotoShop on Mac Platform, Illustrator, InDesign and MS Office, flash or other digital software
• Able to confidently present and speak to work in written and verbal formats
• Ability to travel for photography shoots and other travel as needed

Pay Range

$132,000-170,000

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
