Job Description
The Senior Manager, Business Planning and Operations – Community Sales is a senior individual contributor role responsible for enabling execution excellence across the North America Community Sales segment. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across business planning, sales operations governance, CRM execution, compliance coordination, and cross‑functional initiative delivery. The role serves as the primary operational liaison between Community Sales, North America Operations (NA Ops), Finance, Client Incentives, and Sales Enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Segment Leadership
Serve as the primary NA Ops Liaison and key operational representative for the Community segment.
Simplify, automate, or eliminate low-value work for account executives.
Serve as a subject matter expert for departmental sales operating model, systems, and associated processes (finance, legal, CRM, etc.).
Provide CRM operational support including end-user support, best practices definition, and sales operating model enforcement
. Govern Accounts, Opportunities, Contacts, Campaigns, and Leads.
Prepare and submit bulk CRM change requests to GSCO.
Provide structured “voice of the segment” feedback to NA Ops on tools and processes.
Facilitate special initiatives with defined actions such as GCES, VPF, NAMK, and FY planning cycles.
Business Planning, Targets & Scorecards
Support annual fiscal year target setting and scorecard coordination for Community Sales.
Manage all dashboard reporting, liaising with NA Operations to ensure accurate and timely management information. Develop new dashboard based upon business needs.
Set and align Region (VP) targets and individual AE targets.
Support NALT QBRs through pipeline, wins, risks, and leadership talking points.
Finance, Incentives, M&A and Compliance
Serve as Finance Liaison for Community Sales incentive and client finance matters.
Coordinate operational execution with Account Executives following M&A announcements.
Track M&A AE outreach, AANR opportunities, and ETR estimates in CRM.
Coordinate ETR sizing, backlog tracking, and waiver guidance.
Manage compliance tracking and remediation through coordination with Account Executives and Client Incentives.
Events, Outreach & Engagement
Support conferences, government engagement, and events through attendee list matching and reporting.
Coordinate outreach lists and executive communications via MSD.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
Experience being accountable for complex, cross-functional projects resulting in scalable and efficient operational and/or data solutions.
Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics or similar CRM platform.
Advanced expertise with MS Excel and intermediate proficiency with data and visualization software (e.g. SQL, Python, Tableau/MicroStrategy/Power BI).
Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to quickly propose feasible solutions and processes.
Effectively communicate status, issues, and risks in a precise and timely manner.

The estimated salary range for this position is $130,600 to $246,200 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
