Job Description
As a Sr. Manager, Decision Science - Supply Chain Analytics within the Best Buy Digital, Analytics, and Technology organization, you will be responsible for delivering high-impact analytic solutions that drive strategic and operational outcomes across the supply chain organization. You will play a critical role in shaping the team's strategy, owning work prioritization, guiding technical execution, and partnering cross-functionally to embed data-driven decision-making into the business. The team seeks a candidate with extensive background in supply chain operations and experience in applying analytic techniques to solve problems in supply chain.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. What you'll do
- Lead, mentor and grow a team of individual contributors
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, understand business challenges and identify opportunities where analytical solutions can drive improved business outcomes
- Partner with business stakeholders to develop their requests into well-structured outcome-based engagements with clear analytic solutions scope
- Oversee the design, development and deployment of descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to aide in continuous improvement of Best Buy's supply chain
- Partner cross functionally with supply chain, technology, data operations and ML ops leaders to co-create solutions that deliver impact on operations
- Define success metrics and determine measurement criteria for new capabilities and to monitor the performance of established strategies and operations consistently
- Effectively communicate with diverse audiences - including technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership - through both written and verbal channels
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, management, supply chain) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in a quantitative or supply chain field
- 3+ years of experience applying SQL, Python, R or similar tool and using visualization tools
