A Day in the Life of a Sr. Manager, EngineeringAs a Sr. Manager, Engineering, you'll start your day by connecting with your engineering team and technology and business leaders to understand priorities, remove obstacles, and keep critical initiatives moving forward. You'll lead the team responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting technology products and applications across the organization. As a player-coach, you'll combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, providing direction while staying close enough to the work to help solve complex challenges and guide the team toward the right solutions.Throughout the day, you'll help define technical solutions, establish priorities, and ensure engineering initiatives are delivered within agreed timelines and available resources. You'll provide technical direction across architecture, development standards, quality, release management, and production support, while partnering with stakeholders to balance business needs with technical considerations. You'll also monitor progress, address risks, and help ensure the team delivers reliable, scalable solutions that meet the needs of the organization.You'll also invest in the growth and development of your engineering team, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for team members to strengthen their technical and professional skills.
