The Sr. Manager, IT Systems & Network Engineering is a highly technical and hands-on leadership role responsible for managing and actively contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's IT infrastructure and network systems. This role requires not only managing a team of technical systems administrators and network engineers but also being directly involved in the technical execution of tasks, troubleshooting, and system optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proven ability to lead by example, and a commitment to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of IT systems. Key Responsibilities: - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of technical systems administrators and network engineers while actively participating in technical tasks alongside the team.
- Oversee and directly contribute to the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and storage systems.
- Provide hands-on installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network and infrastructure components.
- Plan and execute IT infrastructure and network projects, ensuring timely delivery while remaining hands-on with technical implementation.
- Monitor system and network performance, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
- Implement, maintain, and personally execute security measures to safeguard IT systems, networks, and data from threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure and manage IT resources and services.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of IT systems, network configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvements in system and network performance, reliability, and efficiency, while contributing to technical innovation.
- Ensure IT systems and networks comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and network engineering, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in network engineering and administration, with hands-on experience in configuring and troubleshooting complex systems.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, CCNA, or CCNP.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Track record of successful execution of IT infrastructure and network projects in a hands-on capacity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.
- Current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to develop and implement strategic plans for IT infrastructure and network systems.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Adaptability to evolving business needs and technology trends.
