Job Details

As a Sr. Manager of Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for managing a centralized AP team and the full AP lifecycle including, invoice intake and processing, approval workflows, vendor payments (check, ACH, wire), vendor master data and management. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in shared services and ideally the automotive industry, but not required.

As the Sr. Manager of Accounts Payable, you will:

1. Oversee the entire P2P process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions.
2. Manage AP lifecycle, providing strategic direction and leadership.
3. Work closely with the shared services team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
4. Collaborate with other departments in implementing financial transformation initiatives.
5. Utilize systems such as Tekion and Reynolds & Reynolds to manage financial operations.
6. Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance the accounts payable process.
7. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
8. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounts payable team.

The ideal candidate for the Sr. Manager of Accounts Payable position will have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior managerial role within accounts payable or finance operations
2. 3+ years of experience leading centralized AP teams.
3. Strong understanding of end-to-end AP processes and controls in a high-volume setting
4. A track record of leading successful financial transformation initiatives like pay to procure (P2P)
5. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
6. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
