Cannabis is still a young industry, so we're especially interested in candidates who can bring over the pricing and analytics discipline of more mature categories like CPG food, beverage, and alcohol and apply it here. This role turns sales, market, and pricing data into clear recommendations that sharpen how Claybourne prices, promotes, wins shelf space, and works hand-in-hand with sales leadership on the deals and account strategy that follow from that analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn pricing strategy analysis across product lines, including price elasticity, promotional lift, and margin trade-offsBuild and maintain sales performance analytics and reporting for leadership and the sales teamLead demand forecasting and account-level sales planning in partnership with sales and operationsBenchmark cannabis pricing and promotional practices against more established categories like CPG, beverage, and alcohol, and translate what works into pricing recommendations for ClaybournePartner directly with sales leadership on pricing strategy for new account pitches and existing account retentionBuild and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that give sales and leadership self-serve visibility into pricing and performancePresent analysis and recommendations to senior leadership, translating data into clear, actionable callsQualifications & ExperienceCannabis pricing and analytics practices are still catching up to more established categories, so candidates with deep CPG, beverage, or alcohol experience are just as strong a fit as those coming from cannabis itself.Minimum 5-7 years of experience in strategic analytics, pricing, or revenue managementExperience in cannabis, CPG, beverage, or alcohol data analytics focused on sales and pricing - CPG, beverage, or alcohol backgrounds are especially valuableStrong command of Claude, SQL, Excel and Snowflake, plus hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BITrack record of turning pricing and sales data into recommendations that leadership and sales teams actually acted onComfortable partnering directly with sales leadership and presenting to senior stakeholdersBachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field required; equivalent experience consideredClear, concise communicator who can translate complex analysis for a non-technical audienceWhat Success Looks LikeWithin 90 days, has a working pricing and sales analytics model covering Claybourne's active accounts and pipelineWithin 90 days, has replaced ad hoc reporting with a standing dashboard that leadership and sales trust and use regularly (utilizing existing database)Within 6 months, is the go-to partner for sales leadership on pricing & promotion strategy for new account pitches and existing account offensive/defensive playNoteThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee(s) incumbent in this position.
