Position Specific Description

NextEra Analytics is the optimization and analytics team for the world's largest renewable energy generator. We thrive on solving the toughest problems facing the energy industry and creating innovative forecasting and optimization solutions that lead the way into the next era of energy. This position is responsible for providing product ownership and vision in planning and overseeing the successful execution of various small to medium-sized projects throughout the project life cycle. Individuals will provide project guidance, prioritization, and coordination with various internal teams such as Applied Math, Science, and Engineering & Technology to ensure timely and effective project execution within the Agile development framework. Employees in this role commonly provide status updates and presentations to varying levels of management and collaborate with other business units to ensure projects are not only effective but completed on time and on-budget. The role also includes direct people leadership responsibilities for a team of junior Product Managers, including hiring support, onboarding, mentoring, performance management, professional development, resource planning, and ensuring alignment with product strategy and organizational objectives while fostering a collaborative, high-performing product organization.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing product management for a large proportion, if not all, of the business unit. Employees are accountable for shared success pertaining to the individuals oversight.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee research and product discovery across internal business units and external parties, and document requirements
  • Oversee data analysis to inform data-driven decisions and define insights
  • Oversee product roadmap for multiple initiatives
  • Subject matter expert of the competitor landscape, market trends, and customer/partner needs across multiple domains
  • Demonstrate ability to define ongoing product vision
  • Demonstrate ability to influence discussions at the executive level
  • Manage and mentor a subset/all of the product team, across multiple domains
  • Influence modern product processes to improve the efficiency and shared success of the technology organization
  • Demonstrate ability to define ongoing product vision

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience: 10+ years
  • Leadership Experience: 2+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters Degree

  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
