    Job Description

At Amazon Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce (WWR&R), we aspire to zero: zero cost of returns, zero defects, and zero waste.

We are an agile, innovative organization dedicated to 'making zero happen' to benefit our customers, company, and environment. We are constantly innovating to create long-term value at Amazon by investing in the future and focusing on the planet, not just on the bottom line. WWR&R includes business, product, program, operational, data, and software engineering teams, who together manage the lifecycle of returned and damaged products.

In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for under-the-roof quality-driving evaluation accuracy, sellable yield, and customer trust across Amazon's global Reverse Logistics network. You will define the "what" and "why" by translating complex operational challenges into clear product requirements, prioritized backlogs, and measurable outcomes. Working at the intersection of operations, technology, and business, you will identify customer and seller pain points, leverage data to size opportunities, and partner with engineering to deliver scalable solutions that improve quality metrics and reduce concessions. You will set the long-term product strategy while shipping iterative improvements, and influence cross-functional stakeholders from front-line associates to VP-level leaders.

Come join us and innovate with the Amazon Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce team!

    - Define success metrics and KPIs; instrument programs to measure impact and iterate.

    - Influence senior leadership by presenting strategy, roadmap progress, and results in WBR, MBR, and QBR forums.

    - Drive cross-functional alignment with ReLo Operations, ACES, RCX, and BRP teams to launch new product initiatives that improve recovery while reducing concessions

    - Champion a culture of experimentation, A/B tests, pilots, and proof-of-concepts to validate hypotheses before scaling

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    - 12+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

    - 6+ years of team management experience

    - Bachelor's degree

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    - Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery, or experience with training and deploying machine learning systems to solve large-scale optimizations

    - Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

    - Master's degree or above in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing

    - Experience communicating complex information and solutions to senior stakeholders and influencing decisions

    - Experience programmatically testing products, measuring test coverage, developing the best automation, driving testability and diagnostic

    - Experience managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously and driving goals to completion

    - Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation, or equivalent

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
