Job Duties: Developing enterprise-grade software tools, frameworks, and instrumentation to ensure successful application deployments and operational excellence. Designing and implementing innovative monitoring solutions for mission-critical trading applications, ensuring high availability and performance in fast-paced financial environments. Incident and problem management, with a focus on rapid service restoration and root cause analysis. Troubleshooting complex trading workflows and providing expert-level support during on-call escalations, including market hours and after-hours coverage. Leveraging statistical analysis and incident trends to develop comprehensive availability improvement strategies.Position allows for 100% remote work. Reports to company HQs in Westlake, TX. Subject to Schwab's internal approach to workplace flexibility.

What you have

Job Requirements: Requires Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 96 months of progressive, post-Bachelor's experience in a related occupation. . Experience must include 96 months of experience in each of the following: Database Management and Development using SQL/PL-SQL including advanced query optimization, stored procedure development, and database performance tuning; Programming and Automation using Python for development of automation scripts, data analysis tools, and enterprise application integrations, Visual C++ Programming, and Pro-C Programming; Cloud Platforms and Containerization including application deployment, scaling, and management in cloud-native environments like Pivotal Cloud Foundry and infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and cloud service optimization using Microsoft Azure Cloud; Operating Systems and Scripting in Linux, Unix, or Sybase including system administration, shell scripting using Bash or Ksh, and performance optimization; and Job Scheduling and Workflow Orchestration including job scheduling configuration, dependency management, and batch processing automation using Autosys or Control-M.

We offer competitive pay and benefits. Starting compensation depends on related experience. Annual bonus and other eligible earnings are not included in the ranges above.
