Kforce's client, a dynamic, publicly traded organization in Malvern, PA, is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & External Reporting to lead complex accounting initiatives and oversee external financial reporting. This role partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex U.S. GAAP topics, including revenue recognition, business combinations, leases, equity, and impairments
  • Research, interpret, and implement new accounting standards; prepare technical accounting memoranda and position papers
  • Establish and maintain consistency in accounting policies across a global organization
  • Advise senior leadership on accounting implications of strategic and non-routine transactions
  • Support M&A activities, including deal structuring and contract evaluation
  • Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting matters
  • Oversee the preparation and review of SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K
  • Manage reporting timelines to ensure timely and accurate global and statutory filings
  • Lead quarterly close and earnings release processes
  • Partner with Legal, Investor Relations, and auditors on disclosures and filings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
  • 8-12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a blend of public accounting and SEC reporting preferred
  • Strong technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and consolidations
  • Experience managing external audits and working with auditors
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong technical writing capabilities
Preferred:
  • Experience with SAP and XBRL
  • Exposure to global or multi-entity reporting environments
  • Industry experience within life sciences or a similarly complex, regulated environment
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with deep technical accounting knowledge
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
