    Position Specific Description

    This role partners closely with senior leaders and critical stakeholders to shape the strategic focus, engagement model and enterprise-wide prioritization of transformation initiatives.     The leader will drive governance of corrective action, human and organizational performance, centers of excellence, and enterprise transformation programs, ensuring each supports a future-focused, high-performance culture.

    Job duties/Responsibilities

    • Facilitate Trading Risk management governance processes including monthly senior EMC and business risk committee meetings; ensuring agenda and materials are collated and pre-reads provided
    • Own the new activity integration process
    • Assist with management all aspects of SOX compliance - narrative understanding and editing, documentation of controls, participation and support of testing, meeting with internal and external audit, review of possible deficiencies, IT remediation, etc.
    • Liaise with NEE General Counsel, NEE Internal Audit, our external audit partners, NEE Corporate Responsibility Office (CRO), Federal Regulatory Affairs (FRA), other Trading Risk Management groups and commercial groups
    • Develop business and operational KPIs
    • Drive process improvement and a culture of rigorous execution; track and identify incident management and share lessons learned
    • Partner with operational leaders to uncover and support transformational opportunities, prioritize high value initiatives and accelerate the deployment of innovative solutions
    • Serve as PMO for Trading Risk Management ensuring projects are progressing to delivery, and management updates are provided
    • Oversee Confirmation team and the offshore service provider in Mexico
    • Manage KYC processes
    • Support delivery of ETRM replacement as required

    Job Overview

    The Senior Manager Trade Compliance is responsible for leading multiple compliance teams, developing strategic compliance initiatives, and ensuring the companys alignment with SOX, CFTC, and FERC regulations. In this role, the emphasis is on providing strategic oversight for compliance activities across the Trading Risk Management division. The individual also supports cross-departmental collaboration, driving compliance processes that align with company objectives and regulatory standards.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Lead and direct a team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
    • Develop long-term compliance strategies and action plans
    • Mentor and train compliance managers and analysts
    • Engage with senior leadership to integrate compliance into corporate strategy
    • Ensure budget oversight and compliance with a significant scope
    • Lead large compliance projects with cross-functional stakeholders
    • Oversee preparation of compliance audits and reports for executive review
    • Deliver strategic compliance insights and recommendations to influence decision making
    • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance or Business Administration
    • Experience: Minimum 10+ years of experience
    • Minimum 2-4+ years of leadership experience
