    Description

    Summary: 

    MS Technology is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for engineering activities in support of the production targets for components, assemblies, and machines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Establishes routings, processes, and procedures for fabrication, assembly, and repair of complex components
    • Leads product launch activities
    • Responsible for the achieving and maintaining targets for Availability, Performance, and Quality for manufacturing operations at the Technology and Manufacturing Center
    • Supports established scopes of work for manufacturing activities
    • Leads efforts to identify opportunities for process improvements in machining techniques, fixturing approaches, material properties, tooling/coatings, coolants/fluids choice and application techniques, and other Lean manufacturing approaches
    • Documents potential risks or shortfalls in future state processes
    • Leads planning and analysis activities
    • Designs and develops manufacturing processes with a cross-functional team utilizing internal and external resources.
    • Develops specifications for fabrication materials and equipment
    • Leads the design for manufacturing steps in the creation, review, and approval of engineering packages to be used for fabrication
    • Manages work to ensure that deliverables are met within schedule and budget
    • Adheres to company policies, procedures, code of conduct, security, and environmental and safety program requirements

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or other related engineering discipline.
    • 5+ Years of manufacturing experience.
    • Experience with lean manufacturing
    • Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems. i.e.: NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001
    • Experience with AIAG Core Tools
    • Must possess or have the ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” Clearance 

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Active “Q” or Top Secret security clearance
    • Experience in Statistical Analysis
    • Experience with composites manufacturing
    • Project Management experience
    • Centrifuge manufacturing experience is a plus
    • Experience with license driven safety significant parts/systems
