This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced manufacturing engineering and project management professional to lead complex plant relocations, consolidations, closures, expansions, equipment transfers, and manufacturing start-ups. You'll have significant ownership of project schedules, budgets, facility layouts, equipment moves, installation, commissioning, production transfers, and ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities:
Plant Relocation & Project Leadership
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of manufacturing plant relocations, consolidations, closures, expansions, and start-ups.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans covering schedules, milestones, budgets, resources, risks, and implementation strategies.
  • Coordinate production shutdowns, equipment moves, transportation, installation, commissioning, start-up, and production ramp-up.
  • Establish project governance, responsibilities, milestones, reporting structures, and communication plans.
  • Track project performance and proactively resolve issues involving schedule, cost, safety, quality, or customer delivery.
  • Lead regular project reviews and communicate status, risks, decisions, and corrective actions to senior leadership.
Manufacturing Engineering & Facility Planning
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes, plant layouts, production flows, equipment requirements, utilities, and facility infrastructure.
  • Develop optimized layouts focused on material flow, safety, productivity, capacity, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate equipment disconnection, rigging, transportation, installation, and recommissioning.
  • Determine equipment and infrastructure requirements for receiving facilities.
  • Coordinate electrical, mechanical, compressed air, utility, foundation, structural, crane, and material-handling requirements.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, plant utilities, production equipment, facility infrastructure, and material flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractors, vendors, engineering resources, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing and managing detailed project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and implementation plans.
