Join a prominent industrial manufacturer as a pivotal collaborator in overseeing plant operations, cost analysis, financial strategizing, and enhancing operational outcomes within a dynamic manufacturing arena. This position plays a crucial role in driving financial success and operational advancement by partnering closely with leadership, supply chain teams, and plant operations. The role demands a solid foundation in financial management of manufacturing processes, with specific expertise in costing methods, inventory management, ERP utilisation, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

- Overseeing and refining cost management systems, tackling bill of materials, cost consolidations, and overhead assignments.
- Examining production variances related to workforce effectiveness, material consumption, purchase price fluctuations, and overhead integration.
- Facilitating inventory assessments and control, work-in-process evaluations, and cost of goods analysis.
- Collaborating with operations to unveil cost-saving prospects and bolster plant financial outcomes.
- Tracking production metrics and offering strategic insights for enhancing operational efficiency.

In terms of Financial Planning & Analysis:

- Steering budgeting operations, forecasts, and financial projection activities.
- Creating financial scenarios to help evaluate revenue streams, costs, and cash flow specifics.
- Conducting monthly variance analyses and delivering insights to the leadership team.
- Assisting in high-level reporting and evaluation of business successes.

Additional duties involve:

- Acting as the financial conduit between manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, and plant governance groups.
- Evaluating capital projects, assessing returns on investments, and guiding decision-making processes.
- Engaging in projects oriented toward operational enhancements and financial impact evaluations.

With respect to Systems & Reporting:

- Leveraging ERP solutions to scrutinize both operational and financial performance metrics.
- Innovating tools and dashboards for reporting and modeling financial performance.
- Supporting innovations in automated reporting, data accuracy, and ongoing process improvements.

Expectations:

- A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent specialty.
- At least 5 years in a financial role within the manufacturing sector, focusing on cost analysis and operational finance.
- Proficiency in standard costing and manufacturing finance complexities.
- Functional knowledge with ERP platforms, notably SAP, along with adept Excel capabilities for analytical tasks.
- A strong capacity to interpret financial statistics into manageable operational guidance.

Preferred Experience:

- Background in sectors such as steel, metals, oil & gas, or heavy manufacturing is highly advantageous.
- Experience with SAP FI/CO, and advanced tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Capability in supporting multi-factory operations and professional qualifications like CPA, CMA, or an MBA.
