Sr. Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift)

  • Work Hours: 3:00 PM 2:00 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Technician to support a new product launch by working closely with the Operations and Engineering teams. In this role, you will provide frontline process and equipment support, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, assist production personnel, and help improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and product quality.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing technology while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the frontline manufacturing process technician supporting the Operations team.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and investigate process-related issues.
  • Support new production equipment, process improvements, cost reduction projects, and new product introductions.
  • Coach and support assemblers on lean manufacturing practices and production processes.
  • Train production personnel on manufacturing and product testing procedures.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Analyze production and test data to identify yield improvement opportunities.
  • Assist the maintenance team in ensuring continuous equipment operation.
  • Support engineers in troubleshooting quality, safety, and manufacturing process issues.
  • Perform scrap dissections and assist with root cause investigations.
  • Document findings and communicate production updates across shifts and cross-functional teams.
  • Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), FDA regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain a safe, compliant, and collaborative work environment.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, Trade School Certification, Technical Training, Apprenticeship, or equivalent education in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Manufacturing technician experience (ideal range: 0 5 years).
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to coach and train production personnel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and strong sense of accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device manufacturing experience (preferred but not required).
  • Experience with:
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • CAPA or manufacturing investigations (nice to have)
    • Basic electrical troubleshooting (multimeter)
    • Reading work instructions, routing documents, and control plans
