Job Description
- Design and develop mechanical systems for packaging machinery, including frames, filling, sealing, and capping equipment
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and assemblies using Inventor or similar CAD software
- Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, electrical, and controls engineers
- Support prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement
- Ensure designs meet sanitary and hygienic standards (3-A, USDA) for food-grade equipment

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME/BSMET) or related technical field
- 10+ years of mechanical design experience in packaging machinery, food processing, or industrial automation
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor
- Proven experience with machine design, pneumatics, and automated systems
- Knowledge of materials, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical tolerances
- Hands-on expertise in testing, prototyping, and troubleshooting mechanical systems
