Description

Immediate opening for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in metro Atlanta.

Summary:
This role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including civil/structural, electrical, quality assurance, and project management to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs into final products, conducting detailed analyses and calculations to validate design concepts.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of mechanical piping systems from initial requirements through to production.
  • Perform detailed engineering analyses including fluid dynamics simulations to validate design integrity and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure designs meet constructability, cost, and quality standards.
  • Develop and review technical documentation such as specifications, drawings, and models to support design development and compliance.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage project timelines and resources effectively to meet milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify opportunities for design improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance work-product quality and efficiency.
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
  • 8 plus years of Industrial mechanical engineering experience
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles including fluid mechanics.
  • Familiarity with pipelines, piping systems, and terminal operations
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools (CAESAR II, AFT Fathom, Autopipe, & PIPE-FLO)
  • EIT (PE Highly Preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Pay:  $38-$45.50/hr.
Duration:  Temp-to-hire
Location:  Alpharetta, GA
