Teledyne Microwave Solutions invests heavily in research and development to maintain the ability to offer the world's most advanced MW/RF capabilities for current and emerging challenges.Teledyne Microwave Solutions is hiring a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with the following essential duties and responsibilities:QualificationsDevelop and design mechanical components and assemblies for RF MIC modules and sub-systems, including key contributor in component design - material and manufacturing method selection, analysis of mechanical stress and compatibility, load distribution, tolerancing, and design for manufacturability, including preparation of detailed documentation and in-depth technical review.Perform engineering calculations to support design concepts, including stress analysis/FEA for mechanical robustness, and tolerance modelsCollaborate with electrical, process, and manufacturing engineering teams to insure seamless integration of electrical, process, and manufacturability into designs and design fluidityProficiency in SolidWorks CAD softwareGeneral knowledge of working materials such as Aluminum, Molybdenum, Kovar, and ceramic is a plusStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsSome experience with FEA modeling setup & model check to ensure accurate analysisEvaluate validation requirement from customer and develop adequate test methods & design jigsEvaluate design alternatives based on cost, quality and production feasibilityCreate test reports and present to customersLead product testing and coordinate various activitiesDocument assembly and test procedures, programs and test systems and part set up, and creation of BOM's and routings in the company's ERP/PDM SystemOther job duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years of related experience. Highly effective design skills in CAD (SolidWorks) Experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal & written communicationAbility to plan & prioritizeExperience in FEA is a strong plusStrong analytical & problem solving skillsUS Citizen with ability to attain/maintain Government Security Clearance  Salary Range: $177,500.00-$236,600.000Pay TransparencyThe anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
